I made Chili Done Chernobyl-Style last night (a day later than I intended). This is the third or fourth time I have used cinnamon in a savory dish and it will be the last time. I just can’t get past the “this should be sweet” taste of the cinnamon. I’ll try some Splenda if I need to cut the acidity next time. Other than that, I really loved this chili! Of course, I couldn’t make it as easily as the recipe. I had to wait for my frozen tomatoes to thaw out (that’s why the recipe was delayed). I don’t currently have any canned tomatoes. Then, I just chopped up about a cup of canned jalapenos (not pickled). This was really good and would make GREAT chili-cheese burgers or chili-dogs!
