Southern Pimento Cheese

One more recipe I can see using to spice up my very boring menu!

1 pound grated Cheddar
1/2 pound grated Pepper Jack
1 (4-ounce) can diced pimentos
1/3 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/3 teaspoons granulated onion
About 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Pinch cayenne
About 1/2 tablespoon green pepper sauce
2/3 cup mayonnaise

  1. Oh my gosh I love pimento spread! <3 I really was a southern girl trapped up north my entire life. Lol I also like sandwich spread (some places it's called ham spread I think) and "p&p loaf" lol It doesn't matter how long I live in the south, I cannot get used to collards or okra! Lol
    • OMG! P&P loaf? I always grossed my mom out eating that! Collards are good if they are cooked right. I'll find and post the recipe (if you are interested). Okra? That's a different story. I won't eat it now because, in my opinion, it must be fried in cornmeal. My grandma made the best! And every New Year's eve, we'd get all those cheese spreads in jars and my favorite was Pimento Cheese. I never buy pimentos, so making this will have to wait until I remember to buy some!
